What a beautiful day to head out the gate for a picnic on the beach.
Alan is watched over by the safety bird.
Ediko has her first "out the gate" experience.
Terry Kelly, Fred Smith, and Norm Strutin against the rocky shore.
Ediko and Dave head toward Bonita Cove with a backdrop of Doerte's geological study.
Joe Sharp heads toward Bonita Cove.
So does Terry Kelly in his new boat.
Bonita Cove had dumpy surf, and not much beach, so we turned back to land on Black Sand beach.
Where we have a wonderful welcoming crew to guide us through the surf.
Don Fleming, Vicki Luibrand, Lisa (me), Rich Luibrand, Dave Littlejohn, Alan Kepner (peaking round Dave), Norm Strutin, Nancy Bisio, Joe Sharp's behind, and Ruth Cooper.

We rest for a bit.
Vicky and I do the Vanna thing.
While the more energetic ones practice synchronized launching to go back around Point Bonita.
Where they explore a cave...
... and take turns flirting with the surge....
... and mugging for Rich's camera....
After the beach dwellers had our naps, and the cave explorers had their fun, we all head off the beach one by one.
One by one by one we get off the beach. Thanks to Joe Petolino, Don Fleming, Dave Littlejohn, Alan Kepner, and more!!
Dave's the last guy off the beach, and he got NO help at all. Nice guys really do finish last.
This could very well be the last time we see Ellen in front of the Great Golden Gate. She intends to move to the southeast coast this fall. :(
Norm against the SF skyline
This is the last you'll see of Rich's sail.....
