This was supposed to be the week to spend up in Mendocino, camping and kayaking with my BASK friends, but the pandemic flattened joy combined with the potential for poor air quality due to the fires killed that plan. A consolation prize was an impromptu night on Tomales Bay, waking to fog and the footprints of overnight visitors.
